Job description

GE Vernova is hiring a Field Engineer to perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of steam turbine equipment at customer power plant sites across the U.S. This is a remote-based role with heavy field travel — the engineer is dispatched to customer sites rather than working from a fixed office.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation
preventive maintenance
repair
and calibration of turbine systems and equipment
Lead outage crews including craft labor
union technicians
and on-site services teams
Respond to emergency repair and service requests for customer equipment
Provide technical guidance to customer representatives on installation
operation
and maintenance
Prepare technical reports
job status reports
time sheets
and expense reports
Perform walk-downs during installation to verify contractor work quality
Support aftermarket upgrades performed at the site level

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience in power plant maintenance
turbine maintenance
or equipment installation/commissioning — OR a High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience
Ability to travel up to 80% annually to project and field assignments
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
Must complete required internal training programs
Legal authorization to work in the United States
