Visa & work permit infoJob description
Ear Care Medical Center in Jumeirah 1 is looking to bring an experienced Insurance Coordinator on board to manage the clinic's day-to-day medical insurance operations. This is a role that sits at the intersection of patient care and revenue management, ensuring that claims move smoothly from submission through to payment. It's well suited to a UAE healthcare professional who is comfortable working directly with TPAs, payers, and clinical teams.
Insurance coordination roles remain in steady demand across Dubai's private healthcare and clinic sector, driven by the volume of TPA-managed claims and mandatory health insurance coverage in the emirate. Compensation for this role typically tracks with candidates' claims-system experience and TPA network familiarity, though exact figures vary by clinic size. Employers in this space commonly consider candidates already based in the UAE with relevant local experience, and sponsorship for suitably qualified overseas hires does occur, though it is less common than hiring locally experienced candidates for mid-level roles like this one.
Responsibilities
- Verifying patient insurance coverage and confirming eligibility ahead of appointments and procedures
- Securing prior authorizations from insurers and third-party administrators before treatment proceeds
- Submitting medical claims through relevant e-claim platforms and TPA portals
- Reviewing remittance advices and reconciling payments against submitted claims
- Investigating rejected or underpaid claims, correcting errors, and resubmitting within payer timelines
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on insurance coordination experience within the UAE healthcare sector
- Working knowledge of UAE claims systems and TPA claim submission processes
- Familiarity with reconciliation and remittance advice review
- Experience handling claim rejections, resubmissions, and payment follow-up
- Strong understanding of UAE insurance and healthcare compliance requirements
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience specifically within an ENT, specialty clinic, or similar outpatient medical setting
- Familiarity with DHA/DOH-linked billing and claims regulations
- Strong Excel or reporting skills for tracking claim status and outstanding payments
- Good working relationships with major UAE insurers and TPAs
