Job description

Exceed Your Limits FZCO is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support its finance operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounting activities, supporting UAE tax compliance, managing payroll processes, and preparing financial information for management. This is a hands-on accounting position suited to a professional who can independently manage day-to-day finance activities and work confidently with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. The role also involves working with external auditors and advisers, monitoring cash flow, preparing management reports, and providing financial information that can help the business understand costs, profitability, and overall performance.

Responsibilities

Accounting Operations
Manage routine bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Perform bank and other account reconciliations.
Maintain and update fixed-asset records.
Support monthly and annual financial closing procedures.
UAE Tax & Compliance
Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns through the relevant tax authority portal.
Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance and filing requirements.
Maintain appropriate records for tax and financial compliance.
Assist with audit preparation and communicate with external auditors and advisers.
Payroll
Coordinate monthly payroll activities for the Dubai team.
Support WPS-related payroll requirements.
Prepare end-of-service calculations and employee settlements where required.
Coordinate contractor and Employer-of-Record invoices involving international arrangements.
Financial Reporting
Prepare regular financial information and management reports.
Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting.
Analyze revenue
costs
and project-level margins.
Provide management with reliable financial information for business decisions.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
Practical experience filing UAE VAT returns.
Hands-on experience with UAE Corporate Tax compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Strong English communication skills.
Ability to manage accounting responsibilities independently.
Good understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation procedures.
Candidates already based in the UAE are preferred.
Candidates able to relocate/travel to the UAE within approximately one week may also be considered.
Immediate availability or a notice period of two weeks or less is preferred.
