Software Developer

Job description

IBM is seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications for enterprise clients. You'll work within an agile, cross-functional team using modern Java frameworks and cloud-native tools to deliver high-performance software that supports IBM's digital transformation and AI/cloud initiatives across the region.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Integrate with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and agile methodologies

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure)
• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Front-end experience (React, Angular, or similar)
• Prior experience in enterprise or consulting environments
