Visa & work permit infoJob description
Cohere is expanding its go-to-market team in Dubai with a Business Development Representative role focused on the enterprise AI space. This position is about spotting the right prospects, opening conversations with decision-makers, and building a pipeline that eventually turns into real customer relationships. It's a good entry point into AI sales for someone who enjoys the hustle of outbound prospecting combined with strategic account research.
Business development and sales roles in the AI/enterprise software space are seeing strong hiring momentum in Dubai as global tech firms expand their regional footprint. Compensation for BDR roles at international tech companies in the UAE varies widely based on base/commission structure and is not specified here. Multinational tech employers commonly sponsor UAE work visas for full-time hires in sales and business development roles.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify target enterprise accounts across sectors such as finance, tech, healthcare, and the public sector
- Conduct daily outbound outreach via calls and personalized emails to engage senior stakeholders
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using structured frameworks and maintain accurate CRM records
- Work closely with marketing to refine outreach messaging based on real prospect feedback
- Track industry trends and competitor activity to sharpen positioning and outreach strategy
- Manage smaller sales cycles independently, from first contact through to close
- Build and maintain a healthy, well-documented sales pipeline for handoff to account executives
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, ideally in SaaS or tech
- Native or fluent Arabic language skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Comfort with data-driven outreach and pipeline management
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in AI, machine learning, or enterprise software sales
- Basic familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts
- Experience closing deals, not just generating leads
- Familiarity with sales enablement and prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Required skills
Benefits
- Full health and dental coverage, including a separate mental health budget
- Weekly lunch stipend ($75 / £75 or local currency equivalent)
- Pension scheme (region-dependent; RRSP/401(k) matching applies to Canada/US employees)
- 100% parental leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days)
- Annual enrichment credit covering arts & culture, fitness/wellness, and workspace improvement
