Cybersecurity Analyst

Job description

IBM is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect enterprise systems and client environments across the region. You'll monitor security infrastructure, investigate threats, and support incident response efforts, working closely with IBM Consulting's security operations team to strengthen clients' hybrid cloud and AI environments against evolving cyber risks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic, systems, and security alerts using SIEM tools
• Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents and anomalies
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Support threat intelligence gathering and analysis
• Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate identified risks
• Assist with compliance audits and regulatory reporting
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives across client organizations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or network security role
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., QRadar, Splunk)
• Solid understanding of network security principles and risk assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with common frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)

Preferred qualifications

• Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar)
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms
• Background supporting hybrid cloud or AI security environments
• Prior consulting or client-facing security experience
