Job description

DEC PBC is hiring a motivated and experienced Procurement Officer – Construction to join its growing team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will support procurement activities related to construction projects, including supplier coordination, material sourcing, negotiations, and procurement process management. This role is suitable for a procurement professional with 2–5 years of construction-industry experience who has a strong understanding of construction materials, supplier management, and purchasing processes. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are important for working effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Manage procurement activities related to construction materials and requirements.
Source and coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
Evaluate suppliers based on requirements
availability
and commercial terms.
Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms with suppliers.
Maintain effective supplier relationships.
Coordinate procurement activities to support construction operations.
Follow established procurement procedures and processes.
Help ensure required materials are sourced in a timely manner.
Communicate with relevant internal teams regarding procurement requirements.
Maintain organized procurement and supplier information.

Requirements

2–5 years of procurement experience within the construction industry.
Good knowledge of construction materials.
Understanding of construction procurement processes.
Strong negotiation and supplier-management abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
