Job description

Support Disney's live and event-based streaming and broadcast systems (Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu) as part of the Transmission Engineering team, ensuring 24/7 signal quality and delivery across the company's IP-based transmission ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot linear and event-based acquisition signals across formats (IP, fiber, satellite)
  • Perform quality control on video, audio, and closed captioning to meet strict broadcast standards
  • Act as technical liaison between internal departments and external partners
  • Route and monitor multiple audio/video feeds across facilities and data centers
  • Identify and resolve issues in live production environments

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of streaming technology and transmission workflows
  • Familiarity with signal transport methods: satellite, fiber, IP-based (HLS, RTMP, SRT, unicast/multicast)
  • Ability to follow SOPs and execute assigned workflows accurately

Additional job details

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in broadcast operations or media engineering, Familiarity with streaming products similar to ESPN+, Disney+, or Hulu

Required Skills

Signal monitoring, quality control, IP/satellite/fiber transport knowledge, troubleshooting, closed captioning adjustment, cross-team communication
