Job description
Support Disney's live and event-based streaming and broadcast systems (Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu) as part of the Transmission Engineering team, ensuring 24/7 signal quality and delivery across the company's IP-based transmission ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot linear and event-based acquisition signals across formats (IP, fiber, satellite)
- Perform quality control on video, audio, and closed captioning to meet strict broadcast standards
- Act as technical liaison between internal departments and external partners
- Route and monitor multiple audio/video feeds across facilities and data centers
- Identify and resolve issues in live production environments
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of streaming technology and transmission workflows
- Familiarity with signal transport methods: satellite, fiber, IP-based (HLS, RTMP, SRT, unicast/multicast)
- Ability to follow SOPs and execute assigned workflows accurately
